|Eaton Launches New Line of Industrial Proximity Sensors to Enhance Equipment Reliability, Environmental Protection and Application Flexibility|

PITTSBURGH, PA — Power management company Eaton today announced the release of E57 series inductive proximity sensors designed to enhance equipment performance in a wide range of industrial applications. Available in general purpose and high performance models, the series provides a solution for the reliable detection, measurement and analysis of mechanical processes to reduce unplanned downtime and maintain precise manufacturing operations.
"Eaton's portfolio of inductive proximity sensors has been completely redesigned to offer proven sensing technology with increased performance and application flexibility," said Eric Le, product manager at Eaton. "With the complete E57 series, Eaton is providing customers with the ability to apply robust designs in harsh environments and general purpose configurations in less demanding applications to enhance cost-effectiveness while maintaining accurate oversight of key processes."
The three E57 inductive proximity sensor series feature a rugged stainless steel body, shock resistant front caps, impact absorbing potting compound and unmatched noise immunity to meet the needs of nearly any industrial application. Additionally, the E57 solutions are engineered with inductive sensing technology for enhanced detection capabilities and simplified compatibility with most programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
All new E57 models feature 360-degree light-emitting diode (LED) indicator lights for enhanced visibility and notification. For reliable performance in harsh manufacturing environments, E57 series is available in standard configurations that meet Ingress Protection (IP) 67 and 69K ratings for a high degree of resistance to dust and high-pressure water. For application flexibility, the series provides the ability to operate at temperatures 15 degrees Celsius lower than standard sensor models and is available in a range of common diameter options including 12, 18 and 30 millimeter.
To support industry-leading reliability and robust short circuit protection in more demanding applications, the E57P Performance Series is engineered to withstand harsh operating environments. The Performance Series has been tested and verified to provide reliable sensing in applications with operating voltages from 10 to 48 volts direct current (Vdc) and temperature ranges of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius.
To further enhance application flexibility where limited space is an issue, the E57PS Performance Short Body Series is engineered with the same reliability and durability features found in the E57PS Performance Series – but in a more compact package.
For general-purpose applications and enhanced cost-effectiveness, the E57G General Purpose Series of inductive proximity sensors is designed to provide basic, reliable sensing without sacrificing performance. The sensors have been tested and verified to provide reliable sensing in applications with operating voltages from 10 to 30 volts direct current (Vdc) and temperature ranges of -25 to 70 degrees Celsius.
