|U.S. Postal Service Recognizes Eaton for Reliable Performance and Commitment to Supplier Diversity|

PITTSBURGH … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton today announced it was selected as a winner in the “Supplier Performance” and “Supplier Diversity” award categories of the 2012 U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Supplier Performance Awards Program. The annual USPS awards program honors companies nominated by postal professionals for superior supply chain performance and the delivery of innovative, sustainable solutions that help reduce costs, enhance performance and maintain high levels of service. Eaton accepted the awards at a recent ceremony held at the USPS headquarters in Washington, D.C.
“The United States Postal Service does business with more than 20,000 suppliers each year. To receive one of these awards is a real achievement,” said Postmaster General Patrick R. Donahoe. “It is essential that we have a world-class chain of suppliers to provide consistently outstanding service to our customers. Each of you is a significant link in that chain, and working together, we deliver for the American people.”
Eaton received the awards as a result of helping the USPS maintain reliable and efficient power systems at service facilities across the nation, and for providing equal opportunities for diverse business enterprises to compete for Eaton business. As a result of Eaton’s supply chain management services, the U.S. Postal Service has been very successful in providing positive bottom line and performance results that have ultimately helped it more effectively achieve its mission of providing mail service to the American public.
